After years of selling his "finds" at flea markets and antique malls Steven Cormier's dream of owning his own shop came true in 2002 when he purchased a historic Victorian house near the bottom of Shaker Hill in Poland, Maine. Over the past few years Steve has transformed the former home and bed and breakfast into a charming store selling an eclectic mixture of antiques, gifts, and collectibles. Customers have twelve themed rooms open to them to explore, each filled from floor to ceiling with high quality items. When you visit you may stumble upon Steve's cat, Morris. If so, please be advised that he is just about the only thing in the store that is NOT for sale. Many customers have tried.
If Coming From I-95 "The Maine Turnpike"
Take EXIT 63 [Gray-New Gloucester]. At the light at the end of the ramp, take a left on to US Rt. 202, heading toward Rt. 26-A for about 1/10th of a mile. Take a right on to Rt. 26-A North. Travel about 9 miles on Rt. 26 (Rt. 26-A North will turn into Rt. 26 North after about 2 mi.) You will see the Poland House on your right as you come toward the bottom of Shaker Hill. If you get to the intersection of Rt. 26 and Hotel Road, you went too far.
